Jordán's participation in the II Health Pastoral Conference

The Humanizar San Camilo Center invited us to be part of the II Health Pastoral Conference that took place at its Tres Cantos center on February 22. Our participation focused on the lines of academic research that we are carrying out:

1. The impact of abuse on the person's relationships with God, with ecclesial environments, with peers, with authority figures, etc., from the theological perspective of abuse and power in dialogue with other disciplines.

2. Relational dynamics that create structural dynamics based on silence and fear of reprisals, on the lack of transparency in communications, on the erroneous understanding of theological concepts such as obedience, on the understanding of sexual morality, etc.

3. The importance of incorporating current research on isolating violence with social impact that shows with scientific evidence that protocols and policies against abuse must include protection measures for those who defend victims.

VISIT OF THE INCOMING AND OUTGOING PROVINCIAL TO THE JORDAN PROJECT TEAM

Last Wednesday, June 28, the members of the Jordán Project research team were able to share the beginning of the morning of work with the outgoing Provincial, Antonio España, and the new Provincial, Enric Puiggròs.

The new Provincial asked the question"What does the PJ team expect from the Provincial?" This question gave rise to brave reflections, out loud, focused on the topic at hand: the structural causes of abuse.

Subsequently, the work focused on the discussion of articles whose publication is expected at the beginning of 2024 and on the design of the International Congress which, shortly, will be launched for the first week of June of the same 2024. We invite you to reserve these dates: June 5, 6 and 7, 2024.
